a few quick things
Sep. 23rd, 2003 04:52 pmP has only called twice today, making it the lowest call volume since he was laid off. Thanks to
supershai and
guardian_writer for your advice. I think your good thoughts helped! :)
I've received an email from my old high school friend Matt, who wrote a novella for his senior thesis at University of Wisconsin, and who promised he'd let me look at it and edit as needed. YAY!
I am an NYU Stern Alumni Connections Mentor. This means I was paired up with a kid who is currently a senior at Stern, who is interested in the field of Accounting/Auditing/Taxation, and who probably will not benefit from being paired with ME. I guess because I work in the BUDGET OFFICE, this means I do A/A/T, but this is untrue. Wait till he finds out. I emailed him today, telling him I'm available to chat, and that I majored in Marketing, not Accounting, so we'll see what he has to say. I just hope I can be at least a little useful. Last Spring, when I emailed the student I was paired with, she never emailed back. And when I was a senior and had a mentor of my own, SHE stood me up and I only heard from her once I complained to the mentoring program coordinator. Hmph.
***Does anyone know anything about the publishing industry? How does one get to become an editor? I really, really, really want to know!!***
I came across a little scene I wrote for
supershai in August 2002, an ickle D/G from the Pride and Honor universe. I forwarded it to her in hopes of motivating her, or waking up her BunnyMuse so that she'll just HAVE to sit and write some more. *evil laugh*
Say,
guardian_writer, any luck finding YOUR fiction notes? *am stalker*
OOOOH, and I am late for meeting my dad at his office. Damn. Must dash.
