rules of engagement

I have this friend, who shall remain nameless, who has strong opinions on the "correct" age to become engaged and get married. I think it's because of her religion or cultural tradition (she is Jewish) that she feels so strongly. I feel she is judging people's decisions based solely on their age, not their level of maturity, the length and strength of their relationship, or their state of readiness. I have had many conversations with her about this, because she and I are the same age and I am in a relationship that is swiftly heading towards an engagement, and she is not (which if you ask me could be another factor in her strong opinions against engagement at our age).

Anyway, I wanted to do this little poll to see what you think about this. Feel free to comment as well.
