Stuff Before Vacation

lissinthecity's birthday dinner was a blast, and spending time with msscribe (who kept trying to photograph my 'bling') and heinous_bitca was super fun. I sat next to the Illustrious Mr. heidi8, who impressed Dionne, Jules and me so much with his mad bill handling skills that we immediately began fangirling him, and had some interesting discussions. I am so glad I ventured out of my shy shell and went despite how nervous I was to meet so many people, and I am so glad that my Raph (who now has an LJ! It's kingraph) was there with me to help me relax.

I ended up seeing PoA twice, once at the IMAX, which ROCKED, and the second time just withspell_cast, who had stayed at my place on Saturday night. It was definitely different seeing it on a regular movie screen after the IMAX experience, but I liked the movie even more the second time round. Am looking forward to seeing it again, really.
Tomorrow morning is my flight to Turks & Caicos. At the buttcrack of predawn. UGH. The flight leaves at 6 am from JFK, and there's a 2 hour stopover in Miami. Sari and I are running around getting stuff we forgot to buy, like shampoo, bug spray, and film for camera. Fuck, I just had a moment of panic when I thought I'd forgotten the camera! But it's packed along with all my toiletries in my carry-on. I appear to have TONNES of toiletries. And this without shampoo or bug spray...
So, folks, I'll be offline for a week while I enjoy the fun and sun on what Sari's mom calls my "last fling with a girlfriend before I get married." :) Don't get too rowdy while I'm away, now!
