Jan. 10th, 2005 11:04 amNot much going on at work today. My good friend Jessica has an interview today at a prep school in Brooklyn, for a guidance counselor position. I am so happy that she got called for this interview, but she's my im buddy during the day at work so I miss her! And of course the office would be slow when I have no one to talk to.
So I'm just sitting here munching on baby carrots, listening to Darren Hayes, rereading some old stuff I wrote years ago when I was writing Backstreet fiction. Speaking of Backstreet, they are saying there'll be a single released in late January. Of course, that announcement comes with a box of salt because they promised me a single in November that I never got, so...LOL.
On the subject of HP: I haven't read any fanfic in a while. Ever since my office moved from the 6th floor to the 5th last summer, and our printer was set out in the damn common space so everyone could see me printing reams of paper, I haven't been printing out tons of fanfic to read on the train or at home. Reading from the computer screen really bothers my eyes after a while...
Basically I am super bored at the moment, but of course have lots to "think" about. Mainly wedding stuff and moving plans. I'm planning on moving from Brooklyn to Queens 2 weeks from today. It's going to be so, so strange living in Queens, I think, after being in Brooklyn for a year. I love my part of Brooklyn, Park Slope, with its cafes and shops and restaurants. Raph picked a place in Queens that is kind of like that, I guess, but it will still take some adjustment, and my commute to/from work will be longer by 15 minutes, which may not seem like much, but there is only so much SUBWAY I can take in one day.

Edited to add: OK fine, I lied. I'm looking through the Macy's bridal registry stuff for bed linens and casual/fine china. Anyone have any suggestions? I might be having a shower next month!
