oh my

Have read epicyclical's DV-in-future cookie and find self...not puking. Not that slash makes me pukey, but I make faces and none were made while reading this. I do not have issues with homosexuality, but it's just not the way I pictured DV to end up. You know how it is when you've built something up in your head: anything differing from the picture you've made is disappointing. Would be kinda like "hetting" a fic you had read as slash all along, for comparison.

Anyway, enjoyed cookie, am not puking, but will probably spam my lj throughout day.

I am hopeless. I have been reading so much fan fiction, inhabiting the worlds of so many different authors, that I have lost my grip on *canon*.

And worse yet, I have read so much of psychic_serpent's stuff that I am beginning to consider her work as canon! Right now I just started reading Carole's "A Sirius Change" chapter 7, and I kept thinking that Narcissa's father couldn't have been named Frost, her maiden name was Anderssen...I need help.

I need to take notes on each different universe's backstory, so that I can keep it all straight. Mainly, I need to separate JKR's world from the others...she's the Real Deal.

Back to dealing with my crazy day at work I go.
