renovations, bbqs, and sister's sick

My parents randomly decided that our house needed a face lift. And so began the Painting Project, in which our living room, dining room, and family room were all painted vibrant colors. I don't know the technical names of the colors (you know they always have these fancy-sounding names) but we got yellow happening in the living room, red brightening up the dining room and like a sage green on the family room walls. It looks good, better than I thought it would. Will photograph next weekend and share.

The mom decided to have a bbq today, which was kind of a bust as not too many people showed up and those who did had vomit-inducing migraines and had to excuse themselves to worship our toilet. Fortunately I missed that part, as we were watching Meet the Parents and Ocean's Eleven in the basement.

And my queenofserpents is sick. :( Am sad, and want to help. She had the wisdom teeth removed yesterday, now she has an earache and the Percoset is making her crazy. Am leaving right now to put her sweet little bum to bed.
