On Tuesdays, I take the A train all the way uptown to my dad's clinic to try to catch a ride home from him. For some reason, the secretarial staff of this clinic keeps overscheduling his appointments, so that I end up having to sit here and wait an hour for him to be ready to leave. So although I enjoy being in his nice, comfortable Lexus, where the temperature is always just right, I hate the long wait in his office. At least on the bus I could go to sleep!

In other (GOOD) news, Raph sold the bike! The auction ended last night, and the bike is going to a worthy buyer, a guy who really wants it and is going to pay for it this week. Things are looking up. :)

$ update, for those following along )

Tithe rocks my socks. Has anyone ever read anything by Francesca Lia Block? She's awesome too, and [livejournal.com profile] blackholly's style reminds me of hers in that they are both super-talented with their choice of words to make very vivid descriptions. FLB writes kick-ass "modern faerie tales" as well, y'all should check her out

Regarding ANYTHING that matters in this world: keep the damn government out of it. Ugh. There is nothing I can say that hasn't been said or that will give justice to the cause...but I will say this.

Everyone, regardless of, well, ANYTHING, deserves to be happy, and to love and be loved. WHO ARE WE TO JUDGE anyone's life or anyone's choices? If Bush thinks he is following the way of God by perpetuating the idea of same-sex marriages being evil, he is not. He is JUDGING OTHERS, which is expressly the right of God to do. If he cannot think of a way to accept all of God's people, he should keep his mouth shut. This marriage protection crap is so utterly ridiculous, I cannot find the appropriate words.

There are no words.

A loving family is a loving family, and no one has the right to judge them based on vague statistics or sexuality or the distribution of gender among the parent figures. Who cares as long as there is love??
