Happy Mother's Day! (and weekend update)
May. 9th, 2004 10:38 pmHappy Mother's Day to all the moms out there. I can't even discuss how much my mom means to me, and I hope everyone had a good day.
At this time next year, I'll be married. Wild, right? :) Can't wait.
I had a great weekend. On Friday night, Raph and I went to Nassau Coliseum with his bandmates to see A Perfect Circle. Raph had made me a CD of 14 APC songs that I've been listening to at work, and really, they're pretty good. :) I had fun, although so many people were smoking pot all over the place! I thought I might get a second-hand high, but alas, none. Then I thought my pneumonia would flare back up, with all the smoke around me and the extraordinarily loud speakers...but thankfully, none of that either. Just good times.
On Saturday I went to see New York Minute with Lindsay. I admit it, I have a secret love for Mary-Kate and Ashley movies!! It's ridiculous, whenever their tv movies come on, I always watch. It's such a guilty pleasure, but I'll admit it freely. And I am not alone, people. That movie was #4 in the box office this weekend. And when I saw Mean Girls last weekend (YES!) that theatre was PACKED. Plus, Lindsay's leaving for Paris tomorrow night, and we had to have one last fun silly chick thing before she left for 3 weeks. :)
Mother's Day today. I sent Raph's mom flowers, and he sent flowers to mine. I met up with my parents and
spell_cast at my dad's office, where I was supposed to be installing their DSL but couldn't because it hasn't been activated yet. So we just ended up cleaning up the back room and then going out to lunch. I then came home, read some, took a nap, bought a sandwich, and watched tv.
Then, and this is important: I responded to my emails! Sorry to all of you to whom I owed emails all this time. I'm truly an email delinquent these days. Thanks for putting up with me. :)
AND, I was watching SS on ABC tonight, just in between other things, and happened to catch those little scenes from PoA that the trio actors hosted. Loved it. LOVED IT. Did anyone else notice the amount of time Daniel seemed to spend looking at Emma? I mean, I know she's prettier than Rupert (haha!) but wow, he gave her the onceover more than once, if you know what I mean. Ah, teenagers and their hormones. Can't wait for June 4!
