May. 14th, 2004 12:17 pmI just don't feel like dealing with anything today. I had a really hard time getting up this morning. I've been trying to get out of the house on time in the morning, to be here before Pat every day. I'm working up the nerve to ask for a raise, and I need to have a few good, on time weeks so I can look good. But this morning, it just wasn't happening.
I woke up with the alarm, closed my eyes, and when I opened them, it was 15 minutes later. I got up, turned on the TV, and sat there watching the news for another 15 minutes. By the time I got in the shower, it was already past 7:30, which is the time I usually get OUT of the shower. Needless to say, everything else was slow-going this morning, and I didn't get into work till 9:35.
I'm not sure what's going on with me lately. I'm not unhappy, but I am very sluggish, unmotivated, and lazy. I'm more tired that usual. I go home every day and take a nap for anywhere between 20 minutes to 2 hours. Every day around 11:30 in the morning, I start to feel jerky and shaky, and finally I realized it must be the large coffee with sugar I drink every morning. It might be mixing with my medicine and making me feel completely restless, like I am full of kinetic energy. So today I got a small coffee with skim milk and one Sweet n Low, which is the horror of all sugar substitutes. It must have worked, because I don't feel shaky.
I talked to Raph about how I've been feeling, and he told me he's worried it's not just my diet or my lack of regular exercise. He thinks something might actually be wrong with me. Truth be told, I haven't felt completely normal since that pneumonia/bronchitis/lung infection whatever you want to call it. I'm going to order my Fresh Direct groceries and make sure to get a lot of healthy things in there. And next week I'm going to start going to the gym regularly again. If this doesn't make a difference after 3-4 weeks, I am going to go back to the doctor and have her check me for everything under the sun.
Watch her just say I'm lazy and just need to get up off my ass. Ugh.
