I have refrained from giving any of my predictions, suspicions, etc. here thus far, but I will make some now. I always want to talk about the things I am most afraid of, brought on by [livejournal.com profile] slytherincess's post but I almost don't want to think about it. Am I too emotionally invested in Harry Potter? Is there such a thing? LOL.

This is what I wrote in response to [livejournal.com profile] slytherincess's question: What are your canon boggarts?

I'm psyched about new canon, but there's always the fear that things will just be "wrong," just not the way I pictured them. I'm terrified of a trio death, although I don't really see it happening until book 7. I also would be miffed if we didn't see more development of Draco, because he has SUCH potential to be kick-ass, be it as a villain or not. To date, he's been more of a whiney brat, and I think he can be so much more than that.

Grawp...just...GAH. Put us out of our misery, or else explain why we had to read about him for so long in OotP.

No one has mentioned Sirius at all here, but I am afraid we won't learn more about his veil incident. Truly dead, sure, but HOW? WHY? Especially WHY????

What else? I agree with many of the others who said things like they'd like to see a strong female character. I didn't even realize it, but that is a serious lack. I am afraid of some of Molly Weasley's boggarts turning out to be real. I want tons more info on the Dept. of Mysteries, and I am putting a lot of faith in JKR not to let us down in that area.

I am not even thinking of ships at this point. Whatever happens, happens, and we have fandom to ease any disappointments.

Really, my biggest fear is that Ron will die. I've already said to some people IRL that I will publicly burn my book if that happens. A tad dramatic, but it's that serious!

I am sure I have more to say, and that will come later, in other Half-Blood Prince installments.

Oh my gosh, me too. I think that's my worst one, but you echoed a lot of other sentiments I feel as well. It's creeping me out - I need this new HBP now!

I mean, she callously killed off Cedric, then Sirius, so what's to stop her from killing Ron? The deaths have been hitting progressively closer to home for Harry. First a school companion, then his godfather, and then what?

I know that JKR has said that killing Sirius was necessary in order to really introduce Harry to the arbitrary and too-possible business of death, particularly in this war he is about to begin fighting. But do you think she'd dare to take Ron away from Harry, too? :(

Mm, possibly. I think it was a little too fishy that she dangled the idea of the Weasleys being in danger (brought to us by Mrs. Weasley's boggart), and then of course, Mr. Weasley's snake incident.

However, maybe she's satisfied with Mr. Weasley's near miss enough to keep away from the family in general.

Ron would be a character I would miss terribly, as well as the Weasley twins. Oh dear. :(

There are just too MANY Weasleys involved for there not to be at least one fatality. Think about it, the only one who ISN'T fighting Voldie is Percy...and he could be under Imperious for all we know. We don't hear a heck of a lot about Charlie's activities, which makes me a little suspicious. But Molly's boggart freaked me out when I first read it, and it freaks me out every time I re-read it. WAH!! RONNIE!!!
